A person is always
more than her work.
I’m Helena: Brazilian by origin, living in Italy, and endlessly interested in how things work—systems, people, places, and the lives we make between them.
That curiosity led me into data, software and artificial intelligence. It is also what keeps a book near my bed, makes a new city feel like an invitation, and turns a half-formed question into a weekend project.

Curiosity has been the
through-line.
I like the part of technology where uncertainty becomes something you can examine. In AI, that means going beyond what a system can produce to ask how it behaves, when it fails, and what would make it genuinely worth trusting.
Today, I’m in a season of growth and transition. I’m continuing to build, experiment and look for thoughtful collaborations while preparing for motherhood.
That new chapter has made some old questions feel newly important: What does meaningful ambition look like? What deserves our attention? How can work be part of a full life, instead of its substitute?
“I build intelligent things,
and I am building a life too.”
The work matters.
So does everything around it.
I’m open to interesting AI engineering work, independent projects, consulting and conversations with people building thoughtful products.
